Self Publishing
Publishing has been turned upside down in the past few years. Now, anyone and everyone can write their story and get it published. There’s still an active debate about whether it’s better to be traditionally published or to go it alone. If you decide you want to self-publish, the tools are there to do it. Let us explain how it all works. Or hold your hand while you do it. Or have our team do it for you. A well-written, edited manuscript is still a must!
Editing
In the acknowledgements section of any good book you will find a heartfelt thank-you by the author to his/her editor. Proof that this isn’t a step you can skip! You need both content editing and copy editing. Writers are usually so close to their work that they unconsciously fill in the blanks. A content editor will read your manuscript with a critical, objective eye and sees if it flows well and makes sense. A copy editor makes sure your document looks professional because all the typos, grammar and spelling mistakes are gone. So, don’t miss this step! Ask for our professionals to work with you.
Coaching
Do you have a story to tell but need someone to hold your feet to the fire? A writing coach is invaluable in supporting you in realizing your dream of getting your message across or your memoir down on paper. Admit it — unless you’re an introvert and love spending hours by yourself, writing can be a lonely occupation. Your writing coach will be there by your side, encouraging you when you’re down, helping you move through writers’ block, and challenging you when you get too cheeky! We’ll help you find a coach.
Marketing
Okay, you have a manuscript that’s complete, edited and proofed. It’s even up on Amazon. Your family and friends have all bought a copy. Now what? How do you get the rest of the world to knock on your door? If you’ve self-published, marketing is your next job. There’s lots to learn there. We’ll work with you to help you find your way.
